Align & Flow
The foundation of the Peak Yoga schedule, Align & Flow is vinyasa practice which emphasizes postural alignment. You’ll move at a slower pace than Flow classes, but be exposed to the same suite of postures. In this practice you will cultivate postural knowledge, awareness in body and mind, strength, flexibility and balance.
Flow
A flowing vinyasa practice that connects movement with breath, Flow is ideal for students interested in moving at a faster pace than Align & Flow. This practice will build heat and strength, foster self-awareness, reduce stress and increase vitality. Our diverse family of instructors creatively sequence to include a wide variety of postures such as sun salutations, standing poses, hip openers, twists, backbends and preparation for arm balances. Options for all levels.
Resorative
Restorative yoga is practiced lying on your mat. Props are used to support the body in gentle stretches and twists which are held for long holds (1-10 minutes), facilitating release of tension in the body and the mind. This healing practice combats fatigue, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and digestive issues. This class is appropriate for students of all levels. Dress in warmer clothing than you usually would since this yoga class is less active.
Yoga
The class that doesn’t fit into any single category, this gem of a class is taught by our most experienced instructors. This yoga practice will engage you differently than a traditional “vinyasa” class and may include postures, pranayama, chanting and meditations from a variety of yoga, movement and metaphysical practices including Ashtanga, Kundalini, Yin and Hatha, among others. Each instructor brings their specific knowledge, experience and gifts to their teaching. Please read their bios to get a better feel for their background and teaching style. Every class is different and offers something for everyone. Come with an open and curious mind. All levels welcome!gnment. Yin
Slow down and sink into this slow, meditative and intense practice. Expect postures to be held in stillness for long holds (1-10 minutes). Because Yin targets the connective tissues such as ligaments and fascia rather than muscles, the physical affect of Yin is unlike that of other classes. A perfect compliment to dynamic forms of yoga, you’ll leave with a sense of deep release and relaxation.
Candlelight Yin w/Sound-Bath Shavasana
This Yin class is illuminated only by candles and ends with a Shavasana accompanied by a mini-Sound Bath—crystal bowls and other instruments for sounds + vibrations that encourage meditative relaxation and set you up for a night of deep nourishing sleep.
